Come Be Inspired! - You are invited to join Conductor Bruce Weinberger as he continues to lead the band. Every concert contains both familiar and new compositions chosen especially for the band by the conductor. You will see familiar musicians on stage as well as new members – all gathering together to make music! What an exciting season!

Concert at the Fair

Caruthers Fairgrounds
Our outdoor concert at the popular Caruthers Fair is one of our favorite events of the season! Enjoy golden-oldies, marches and popular show tunes amid the sights, sounds, and food at the Caruthers Fair. It’s a fun concert you won’t want to miss!
Solo Celebration

Elisha Wells - French Horn
Fresno City College

We open our 29th season by featuring Fresno City College’s Elisha Wells on French horn. Elisha has been an active horn soloist for almost 20 years. She continually performs solos throughout the west coast with groups including Sequoia Symphony, Kingsburg Community Band, Stanislaus Community Band, and the Wind Symphony of Clovis. A world class performer, Elisha will be performing Mozart’s “2nd Horn Concerto” and “Wingspan” by Gary Kuo. You will also be dazzled by some incredible soloists from the band!

Single Tickets
Due to limited seating capacity, tickets are required for concerts in the Shaghoian Concert Hall and the Fresno City College Theatre.

Concerts in the Shaghoian Concert Hall are $14 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.

Concerts in the Fresno City College Theater are free, but you must reserve a ticket.

A Grateful Christmas

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas! We cherish what we have this holiday season especially with the challenges of these past few years. Join us as we celebrate this special time of the year with the sensational Julie Dana as our guest vocalist. She will be singing several Christmas classics. Julie, who recently retired, was the director of choral activities at Fresno City College since 1999. Under her direction the FCC choirs performed for audiences around the state, country and internationally. What a great way to start off the holiday season!

Rock on with a trip down memory lane! The band will be playing some of your favorite popular tunes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. There is also a special treat in store for our audience! We will be playing the premiere performance of a new arrangement of Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes”, written especially for our band by Fresno’s own Kevin Memley. Kevin has over 70 published works to his credit which have been performed around the world. Have fun getting in the groove with FCCB!

Violin on Fire

Take a trip around the world without leaving your seat! Our band will be playing famous worldwide melodies as we travel on our musical journey. We are excited to feature the incomparable Patrick Contreras on violin playing Piazzolla’s “Libertango” and the “Theme from Schindler’s List”. Patrick is famous for his unique style that makes him stand out from the crowd. Enjoy this musical vacation with Patrick and the band as your guides!

Journey to the depths of your imagination with music that will speak to you in new and creative ways. The band says “Welcome to The Imagination World” while we also “Tiptoe Through the Tubas”. Can you imagine a John Philip Sousa march that features a harmonica soloist? Joining us on our journey will be the talented students of the Edison Computech Middle School Ensemble directed by our own Chuck Salanitro.
Solemn Remembrance

James Lamb - Conductor

What better way to remember our fallen heroes than with music? We are proud to have as our guest conductor James Lamb, who was named first commander of the California State Guard (CSG) Band and was appointed as a Warrant Officer in August 2013. His credits include Musical Director and Conductor for performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Williamson Center. He will be conducting one of his own compositions, “Like A Sentry Stands a Solitary Oak” as well as his arrangement of “The Last Full Measure of Devotion” from Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address.
