2025-2026 Concert Schedule
Conductor Bruce Weinberger says: “Our 32nd season promises to be a truly unique one!
Our musical journey will take us to fascinating places, beginning with a concert honoring the legacy of Bob Nielsen. We'll soar into the heavens, take a whimsical trip to the zoo with high school bands, and explore the beautiful union of music and words. Of course, the season wouldn’t be complete without festive Christmas melodies—including those played on the ancient lute. We will conclude with a moving tribute to our courageous heroes during
our annual Memorial Day concert. I’m so excited for this season to begin!"

This joyful program features festive instruments like the celeste and sleigh bells, along with guest soloist Dr. Kevin Cooper on the ancient lute. You’ll hear beloved pieces such as What Child Is This and O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. A perfect way to usher in the holiday spirit.

Soar with us on a musical journey to the heights of Mt. Everest, through the open skies, and into the vast reaches of outer space. This program captures the beauty of moonrises, sunsets, and even the divine. An inspiring concert for the adventurer in all of us.

Someone told me it’s happening at the zoo—and the band believes it’s true! Enjoy musical portrayals of the animal kingdom through pieces like Carnival of the Animals and The Seal Lullaby. We’re especially excited to welcome two bands from Hoover High School, including students from United Sound, a national program that supports music education for students with special needs through peer mentorship.

Echoes of Courage
Join the band as we honor the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country. This inspirational concert includes powerful selections such as Midway March by John Williams and the exciting Victory at Sea by Richard Rodgers and Robert Russell Bennett.
